Dom Pedro II de Alcantara e Braganza
Superior Suite n.123
Suite 123 still has the charm and sense of grandeur that characterized its esteemed host, Dom Pedro II of Alcantara and Braganza, Emperor of Brazil. The suite is decorated with several images of the Emperor, who in 1888, while at the Grand Hotel et de Milan, had his daughter sign the abolition of slavery in Brazil, thus limiting the Emperor's own responsibility. A statue, placed in the lobby of the hotel, remains as a testament to this important event.
