Ideal Profile

The ideal candidate has served as a Floor Manager / Floor Attendant, Waiter or Commis in top level venues , preferably Hotels in the Luxury segment or Top Level restaurants and has solid customer service skills.

- He/she also possesses the following characteristics:

- experience in high standing hotels, luxury restaurants or international chains;

- good merchandising and oenological knowledge

- excellent knowledge of English; preferable knowledge of a second foreign language;

- aptitude for working under pressure while maintaining high levels of quality

- predisposition to customer contact, organizational skills and team working spirit - flexibility of work schedule;

- familiarity with the main POS and common software

As part of our kitchen team you will be responsible for providing an exceptional dining experience to all our guests

 

Main Duties

- Support the Executive Chef in ensuring impeccable and timely service in the department

- Participate in food preparations according to guest orders of consistent quality;

- complete mis en place and set-up station for breakfast, lunch and/or dinner service

- Ensure that all kitchen equipment is used and maintained consistently to the highest standards

 

Ideal Profile

- Experience in the hotel or restaurant industry in a similar role and/or strong passion for the job and industry

- Knowledge of service and hygiene procedures (HACCP)

- Good spoken of  Italian language

The person will be expected to manage the hotel facility ensuring the achievement of goals defined in agreement with Ownership and COO, within budget, Quality and Service excellence standards of the and Company Values.

 

Coordinating the work of the Heads of Services, will need to be able to be a constant support in the following activities:

- Plan and coordinate the operational activities of all the departments of the 'hotel in a synergistic and organized manner, ensuring the correct exchange of information in order to create a shared culture delineated by clear and sustainable operational standards

- Ensure the correct practice of service standards and company procedures by all employees by working consistently on the highest quality customer experience;

- Analyze the financial performance of the structure by monitoring its expenses, revenues and profits;

- Collaborate with Finance on the drafting of the bgt and forecast

- Verify any budget discrepancy and take corrective action in order to achieve the set objectives

- Monitoring and controlling the proper use and operations of the hotel's facilities, equipment and furnishings and taking necessary measures with the business advisors to maintain the good condition of the above;

- Devise and implement continuous marketing strategies in concert with the Sales& Marketing department in order to promote the facility and services through the most appropriate channels for the individual need

- Actively participate in Sales Missions in Italy and Abroad;

- Actively and proactively manage relationships with affiliate chains (The Leading Hotels of the World)- Create and cultivate relationships with partners such as travel agencies, tour operators, event and conference promoters, local governments and entities for the promotion of the territory- Promote the hotel's image and visibility through territorial marketing initiatives, events and promotions

- Oversee the care and maintenance of the property, facilities, equipment, and supplies under the facility's authority

- Be able to follow activities related to the selection and staff management, being able to cope with challenges related to turnover, ensuring the training of work teams in all facilities

- Ensure compliance with hygiene, accidents prevention and all regulations related to the safety of buildings, facilities and equipment

Requirement Required:

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Hotel Management and/or a Master's degree in that field.

- Proven experience in the role in facilities of high service standards, preferably Luxury segment

- Coming from well organized and Affiliated Structures (The Leading Hotels of the World or equal Level)

- Knowledge of all hotel management best practices and inherent legislation with particular reference to workplace safety, hygiene, health and privacy issues

- Excellent level of leadership and problem solving skills

- Proven experience in management review of each and every component department of a hotel facility

- Fluent knowledge of the English language- Fluent knowledge of a second language

- In-depth knowledge in marketing with particular reference to the most modern digital promotion channels

- Proven experience in the use of BI systems

- Flexible, curious and proactive person

- Advanced knowledge of the Office package

- Domicile in Milan or hinterland or willingness to relocate immediately

Reservations Officer

Grand Hotel et de Milan, a luxury 5 Star Hotel located in the heart of Milan and Straf hotel&bar, a contemporary 4 Star Hotel a few steps from the Duomo, are looking for a Reservations Officer to join their team.

The person will be part of the Reservation team and will be in charge of managing reservations for both facilities that are part of a network of Enterprises

Main Duties:

  • Manages individual, group, event or banquet reservation requests and all services offered by the Hotel in collaboration with relevant department heads where needed
  • Ensures proper sales at the reference price of the day in collaboration with the Revenue and Reservations Director
  • Manages and controls room inventory at sale in collaboration with RDM and Revenue and Reservations Manager
  • Manages and controls the sending of email confirmations
  • Manages and controls individual and group option releases
  • Governs the entry and management of business blocks
  • Governs the process of managing and collecting deposits
  • Governs the special billing process ensuring that master records are filled out correctly
  • Maintains master records in conjunction with RDM/CONCIERGE/SALES/COMMUNICATION
  • Sends details of the day's room availability and reference rate each morning
  • He monitors daily reporting to ensure the right channel and market segment for bookings
  • Communicates daily with the conciergerie in order to book all required third party services
  • Is directly responsible for the department's online reputation, including the Leading Hotels of the World audit score

Prepares and shares monthly statistical report of telephone/email traffic and volume
 
The requirements we are looking for are:

  • The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or degree in tourism/hotel management and has at least 2 years' experience in a similar role in Italy and/or abroad;
  • Possesses a personality with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, communication and problem solving;
  • Excellent use of computer systems and PMS;
  • Orientation towards teamwork and the achievement of company objectives;
  • Excellent knowledge of English and preferably of a second language is essential.

    We offer: employment and contractual level will be evaluated according to the candidate's previous experience.
