Grand Hotel et de Milan, a luxury 5 ***** Hotel located in the heart of Milan, is looking for a Hotel General Manager
The person will be expected to manage the hotel facility ensuring the achievement of goals defined in agreement with Ownership and COO, within budget, Quality and Service excellence standards of the and Company Values.
Coordinating the work of the Heads of Services, will need to be able to be a constant support in the following activities:
- Plan and coordinate the operational activities of all the departments of the 'hotel in a synergistic and organized manner, ensuring the correct exchange of information in order to create a shared culture delineated by clear and sustainable operational standards
- Ensure the correct practice of service standards and company procedures by all employees by working consistently on the highest quality customer experience;
- Analyze the financial performance of the structure by monitoring its expenses, revenues and profits;
- Collaborate with Finance on the drafting of the bgt and forecast
- Verify any budget discrepancy and take corrective action in order to achieve the set objectives
- Monitoring and controlling the proper use and operations of the hotel's facilities, equipment and furnishings and taking necessary measures with the business advisors to maintain the good condition of the above;
- Devise and implement continuous marketing strategies in concert with the Sales& Marketing department in order to promote the facility and services through the most appropriate channels for the individual need
- Actively participate in Sales Missions in Italy and Abroad;
- Actively and proactively manage relationships with affiliate chains (The Leading Hotels of the World)- Create and cultivate relationships with partners such as travel agencies, tour operators, event and conference promoters, local governments and entities for the promotion of the territory- Promote the hotel's image and visibility through territorial marketing initiatives, events and promotions
- Oversee the care and maintenance of the property, facilities, equipment, and supplies under the facility's authority
- Be able to follow activities related to the selection and staff management, being able to cope with challenges related to turnover, ensuring the training of work teams in all facilities
- Ensure compliance with hygiene, accidents prevention and all regulations related to the safety of buildings, facilities and equipment
Requirement Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Hotel Management and/or a Master's degree in that field.
- Proven experience in the role in facilities of high service standards, preferably Luxury segment
- Coming from well organized and Affiliated Structures (The Leading Hotels of the World or equal Level)
- Knowledge of all hotel management best practices and inherent legislation with particular reference to workplace safety, hygiene, health and privacy issues
- Excellent level of leadership and problem solving skills
- Proven experience in management review of each and every component department of a hotel facility
- Fluent knowledge of the English language- Fluent knowledge of a second language
- In-depth knowledge in marketing with particular reference to the most modern digital promotion channels
- Proven experience in the use of BI systems
- Flexible, curious and proactive person
- Advanced knowledge of the Office package
- Domicile in Milan or hinterland or willingness to relocate immediately
