The great Rudolf Nureyev was a frequent habitue of our hotel, he made "Verdi's House" his address in Milan. One of Nureyev’s more extended stays was in 1981 while filming the ballet Romeo and Juliet. On the occasions where Nureyev was performing with the English ballerina Margot Fonteyn she would stay here too. Such an elegant couple they would have made an exquisite impression crossing the lounge of our Grand Hotel et de Milan.
