The Grand Hotel et de Milan is capable of meeting every need in terms of organising gatherings, business meetings, receptions, conferences or exhibits. Its three lovely, spacious rooms, the Puccini Room, the Giordano Room and the Verdi Room, can accommodate up to 120 people and perfectly blend 19th century architecture and the charm of yesteryear with the latest modern technology. All the rooms are equipped with air conditioning, telephone and fax, stereo audio equipment, microphones and amplifiers, projection systems, video players and projectors and laser pointers.
PUCCINI MEETING ROOM
The walls of the Puccini Room are adorned with rare paintings from the collection of Maria Luisa of Austria and splendid Flemish tapestries. Shimmering Murano chandeliers illuminate the elegant ambience in 19th century style.
GIORDANO MEETING ROOM
The style of the Giordano Room, connected to the Puccini Room by a broad corridor, recalls the interiors of aristocratic Milanese palazzi. The exquisite wallpaper on the walls lends the room a more intimate and inviting ambience.
VERDI MEETING ROOM
The Verdi Room is so called in honour of Giuseppe Verdi, since it was Suite 105 on the first floor of what was then the Albergo Milano, where Verdi stayed from 1872 on whenever he was in town. There are many anecdotes associated with this historic room, like the fact that Verdi used to look out from his balcony to please his fans, or how Verdi, returning from La Scala to the Albergo Milano, was dragged along by a delirious crowd.
Verdi died in the hotel on January 27, 1901, and since then this room, despite having been remodelled, has retained the same furniture and the same magnificent décor, keeping its charm intact.
The Grand Hotel et de Milan has a large parking lot and garage and is easily accessible by public transportation.
Upon request, the hotel can also provide transportation service with driver to and from Milan’s airports and train stations.
