HOTEL RESERVATION IN MILAN
Since its inauguration in 1863, the Grand Hotel et De Milan, first known as the "Albergo di Milano", has been considered one of the city's most exclusive establishments. The eclectic architectural style of the hotel, complete with striking neo-gothic detailing, made it one of the most fashionable of its time, patronised by a steady stream of illustrious personages, from eminent politicians to influential businessmen and celebrities of international fame. The Grand Hotel et De Milan's telegraph service, representing what was, at the time, the very latest in innovative modern technology, further distinguished the property from all the other hotels in the city of Milan.
In the dining rooms and the winter garden guests sojourning at the Grand Hotel et De Milan enjoyed the finest cuisine and musical entertainment in the most elegant of environments. Over time, additional floors were added to the original palazzo and the elevator designed to transport guests to the highest floors is still in use to this very day. In the 1970's, Italian haute couture dominated the international fashion scene and the Grand Hotel et De Milan provided the venue for the catwalk shows which were to launch some of the most prestigious names of today's "made in Italy", including that of Ferrč-Mattioli. It is not a coincidence that Milan's Via Montenapoleone, street famous for its designer fashion boutiques, lies directly opposite the hotel.
